FM Radio 101.8 is aimed to:

Disseminate educational, informational, motivational, and entertainment content that enhances students’ intellectual development and fosters an inclusive, culturally diverse academic community.
Provide experiential training in broadcasting practices, encompassing sound production, audio editing, scripting, and program presentation, thereby cultivating students’ professional competencies in media and communication.
Advance a culture of knowledge and civic awareness by promoting access to information, human rights, freedom of expression, and positive, youth-oriented content that mitigates radicalization.
Facilitate student engagement and holistic university development through participatory programming, the amplification of student voices, and the promotion of academic, social, and personal growth

At the Department of Arts and Media, we inspire curiosity, creativity, and confidence, empowering students to explore sound and storytelling.
FM 101.8 MHz, established in 2017 at Foundation University Islamabad, serves as a dynamic learning lab for emerging media talent. With 12 hours of transmission from 8:30 AM to 8:30 PM, Monday through Friday, the station informs, educates, and entertains through news, discussions, and vibrant student-led shows. From Promoting Pakistan to A Pleasant Morning Show, and from FUI-ITES creativity to Health Studio inspiration, the station offers diverse content. It delivers sports excitement, classroom energy, faculty stories, Folk Rung colours, global beats, new hits, and evergreen classics. From powerful radio-casts to Incredible Pakistan, FM 101.8 keeps listeners engaged all day. A skilled team and state-of-the-art technology transform young voices into listener Favorite sounds. Built as a modern campus radio, it features advanced studios and professional production facilities. Students receive hands-on training in production, scriptwriting, anchoring, editing, and creative development. Through radio shows and regular podcasts, learners manage everything from concept to distribution, gaining an immersive broadcasting experience.

Mr. Mudassar is a highly skilled broadcast media professional with over 18 years of experience in Pakistan’s vibrant FM radio landscape. He holds a Master’s in Journalism & Mass Communication and a Master’s in Business Management, blending creativity with strategic insight. His journey spans several renowned FM radio stations, where he built a reputation for excellence and innovation. Beginning his career in 2007 as an RJ, he quickly evolved into a versatile and influential media voice. Over the years, he has excelled as a Radio Host, News Reader, Program Producer, and Coordinator Programming. His strong grip on broadcasting, scriptwriting, and production design sets him apart in the industry. He is known for his energetic vision, collaborative spirit, and exceptional leadership qualities. Mr. Mudassar has been instrumental in training, guiding, and inspiring young media talent across institutions. Under his dynamic supervision, FM 101.8 Foundation University Islamabad is growing rapidly and transforming into a modern learning lab. His passion, dedication, and deep industry expertise continue to shape the future of campus broadcasting in Pakistan.
