Dr. Qaisar Khan is a distinguished scholar specializing in Media, Cinema, and Cultural Studies. As an Assistant Professor in the Department of Arts and Media at Foundation University School of Science and Technology, Pakistan, he is recognized for his interdisciplinary expertise spanning media studies, film studies, cultural analysis, and Fine Arts.

His research delves into nationalism, ideology, representation, and the portrayal of the "Other" in cinematic narratives, exploring themes such as identity, patriotism, and societal attitudes toward nationalism. Dr. Khan’s work highlights the ideological messages embedded in visual and narrative storytelling, enriching our understanding of media’s role in shaping cultural and political perceptions.

In media and political communication, he examines satire’s role in shaping public opinion and critiquing political figures, particularly in Pakistan’s societal and political context. His studies on health communication analyze public service announcements (PSAs) for promoting health literacy and behavior change, focusing on persuasive techniques and audience targeting. Dr. Khan also investigates the digital transformation of journalism, exploring media convergence, audience engagement, and evolving business models.

In gender and cultural studies, Dr. Khan’s work addresses feminist themes, hegemonic structures, and representations of women’s empowerment and hegemonic masculinity in Pakistani cinema. His scholarship extends to postcolonial studies, examining cultural stereotypes, Islamophobia, and Orientalist perspectives in media, and their impact on geopolitics and identity construction. Additionally, his contributions to organizational and environmental studies focus on Green HRM practices and their role in fostering sustainable workplace behaviors.

Dr. Khan’s academic journey includes a Ph.D. in Media Studies from the University of Science Malaysia (USM), with a focus on representation, identity, and ideology in Hindi cinema, and an MA in Screen Studies from USM. He has taught and conducted research across diverse cultural contexts, including Pakistan and the UAE, where he established an art gallery and produced promotional videos and documentaries.
