Umar Farooq is a Lecturer in the Department of Tourism and Hospitality. He holds an MS in Tourism and Hospitality and earned a Gold Medal in his BS in Tourism and Hotel Management, highlighting his academic excellence. His research interests are centered on sustainable tourism development and hospitality management practices, areas in which he has made significant contributions through several publications.
With over three years of teaching experience and a rich background in the hospitality industry, Umar Farooq combines academic knowledge with practical expertise. He has worked as a corporate trainer in the hospitality sector and brings five years of hands-on experience in the hotel industry. His dual expertise in both academia and the industry allows him to effectively bridge the gap between theory and practice, enriching student learning and contributing to the growth of the tourism and hospitality field.
