Dr. Rabia Sagheer is an accomplished academic and researcher in Economics, currently serving as an Assistant Professor with over 14 years of teaching, research, and administrative experience at Foundation University. She earned her PhD in Economics from Federal Urdu University, Islamabad, and holds an MPhil and MSc in Economics from the same institution. She is also a gold medalist in her MSc, reflecting her strong academic foundation
Dr. Rabia has an extensive research portfolio, with more than 10 published articles covering diverse areas of economics. Her scholarly contributions have been recognized through her active participation in both national and international conferences, where she has presented her research and engaged with the global academic community.
In addition to her academic responsibilities, Dr. Rabia plays a significant leadership role within the University. She leads various academic and administrative initiatives. She has also been actively involved in quality assurance and accreditation processes, including serving as the team leader for preparing Self-Assessment Reports (SARs) for academic programs.
Dr. Rabia is committed to student development and capacity building. She has supervised and facilitated academic training sessions, including workshops on econometric tools such as E-Views and STATA for data analysis. Her teaching philosophy emphasizes analytical thinking, practical application of economic theories, and research-based learning.
With a strong blend of academic excellence, research productivity, and leadership experience, Dr. Rabia Sagheer continues to make significant contributions to the fields of economics and higher education in Pakistan.
