Ms. Komal Zahra is an emerging academician, researcher, and heritage tourism professional in the field of Tourism, Hospitality, Archaeology, and Cultural Heritage Management. Currently, she is serving as Lecturer in the Department of Tourism and Hospitality at Foundation University Islamabad. She is also pursuing her PhD at the Taxila Institute of Asian Civilizations, Quaid-i-Azam University, with specialization in Asian Studies. She holds an M.Phil. in Asian Studies and secured Gold Medal/1st Position in her MSc Archaeology degree.

She possesses extensive academic and field research experience in the areas of cultural heritage, archaeological surveys, ethnoarchaeology, heritage tourism, and sustainable tourism development. Her research has been published in several reputable national and international peer-reviewed journals, reflecting her active engagement in scholarly and interdisciplinary research. Her core theoretical and practical interests include Cultural Heritage Management, Heritage Tourism, Sustainable Tourism Development, Hospitality Management, and Community-Based Tourism.

She has actively participated in numerous archaeological excavations, surveys, and documentation projects at significant historical and heritage sites across Pakistan, contributing to the preservation and promotion of cultural resources. Her academic and professional contributions have enhanced the understanding of cultural resource management and its application within the tourism and hospitality sector. In addition, she has teaching experience at various reputable higher education institutions and has contributed to research, academic, and professional development activities related to heritage and tourism studies.
