bio=Dr. Ummul Baneen is an Assistant Professor at Foundation University Islamabad since September 2015. She completed PhD in Creative Arts & Communication from Riphah, her research is related to citizen journalism. She has achieved the IRSIP HEC award for Michigan State University from Jan 2023 to June 2023. She has been working as a Reporter cum researcher in various TV channels like ARY, DAWN, DW Such TV , CBS 4 , USA since 2011.She was selected for two weeks cultural and language exchange program organized by Beijing Language and Culture University, People's Republic of China ( 2011).She was selected as in Professional Journalists fellowship by USA for Pakistani journalists in 2014.  She had participated in  various trainings by UPI, DW, Reuters ,CEJ , ICFJ, IBA  .She has taught BS/ MS level at NUML, Bahria University, AIOU .Her expertise are in digital media, citizen journalism , photo journalism , database journalism , digital security.
