A visionary and results-oriented academic leader with over 24 years of experience in higher education in teaching, research, curriculum development, quality assurance, and academic administration, including distinguished service as Head of the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering. Dr. Abdur Rehman, currently serving as Assistant Professor at Foundation University Islamabad, successfully led the launch of the BSc Computer Engineering program and also secured Level-II re-accreditation of the BSc Electrical Engineering program, demonstrating strong leadership in academic development, accreditation, and institutional growth. He is committed to advancing engineering education, fostering innovation, and strengthening quality standards to prepare graduates for emerging technological and industry challenges.

  • Served in multiple academic and administrative capacities at Foundation University Islamabad (FUSST), contributing to institutional governance, quality assurance, academic planning, accreditation, examination processes, and co-curricular activities through active participation in key university and departmental committees, including convocation, sports, migration, grievance redressal, unfair means, financial assistance, and industrial advisory functions. Also contributed to statutory academic bodies such as the Board of Studies (BOS), Faculty Board of Studies (FBS), and Academic Council, while coordinating with PEC for program accreditation and providing oversight for final year design projects and postgraduate thesis evaluation.

  • Successfully completed the Program Evaluators (PEVs) Training for newly approved evaluators, organized by the Engineering Accreditation Department (EAD), Pakistan Engineering Council (PEC), Islamabad, from May 24 to 27, 2025, at the Military College of Signals (MCS), Rawalpindi.
